I like Starbucks-inspired cupcakes...

Blueberry White Tea Cupcakes

My husband loves the flavoured white tea from Starbucks, hot or iced. I was worried that the white tea flavour in the cake wouldn't be strong enough, or that it would be bitter, but it came through really nicely. Sweet, light, white tea cupcakes with blueberry filling and white tea marshmallow frosting.

I used mostly organic ingredients... I love the taste of organic cane sugar in cupcakes.

OMG cute!
I love the snow flake confetti (and the flavours sound amazing!). I also love the blue and white swirl.

Is it bad that I'm drooing? hahaha

Silly question, but I'm not as decorating knowledgeable as I'd like to be and I figure the only way I'll learn is to ask, but how did you get the icing to be white and blue?

Not silly at all! I separated the icing into two bowls and added food colouring to one bowl until I got the desired colour.

I open my piping bag over a tall glass so that it would stay open, and then carefully spooned in each colour of frosting, one up each side. Takes practice and is messy! Then I piped the frosting on to a few practice cupcakes until both colours started coming out evenly.

I hope that makes some bit of sense...!

Thanks a lot for the recipe! I just tried it with black chai tea, it's a bit more "overwhelming" flavor-wise but still has a very moist texture :)
